Hi

we are a family of four ( kids 8 and 11) staying in Japan for 12 days and will activate the JR Pass on the day 6th. (D1-5 Tokyo, D6 Hakone, D7-9 Kyoto, D 9-11 Osaka with Nara, D 12back to Tokyo)

The first 5 days, we are going to be in Tokyo-Shinjuku, with day trip to Nikko and one day visit to Disney land.

From my research it show that the Suica- N'ex package is what we have to get in Narita ( we arrive 8 am), this will take us to Tokyo and we can use the Suica then afterwards, Is that right? how about Limo Buses from Narita to Shinjuku ?

How do you suggest to go to Nikko?

I read some where in forums that for a family of four it might worth to take taxi instead, specially if you are traveling short distances in town? I am not sure if this right, but thought will ask anyways ?

Hi there!

Using the Narita + Suica card is the most flexible approach to Tokyo mainly be cause you can use the Suica card for travel anywhere in Tokyo - but of course you can also use a Limo Bus instead, the advantage of the limousine bus is that some bring you directly to your hotel.

Nikko can be reached in different ways. You can use the Shinkansen if you already activated your JR Pass. Otherwise it is better to use local lines. More information on how to access Nikko can be found HERE.

Using Taxi's in Tokyo can be a bit tricky if you are not familiar with distances involved. For instance Shibuya and Harajuku are not far from each other and using a Taxi would make perfect sense. However traveling from Shinjuku - Asakusa can ramp up a good bill of over 10,000yen. My recommendation would be to use a taxi when you know the distance involved or at least ask for an estimate before traveling.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
