Hi there,

For this travel plan I suggest buying normal train tickets. The JR Pass works well for a return trip Tokyo - Kyoto, however it is better to buy normal tickets for a one way Tokyo - Osaka.

With the premium outlets, you may mean Rinku town near Kansai Airport. Here you can find various discounted brands and stores, its also a good change for last minute shopping before flying home.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi there,

Sorry if I caused any confusion. With normal train tickets I mean tickets you would buy to get on the train (instead of a JR Pass). You can buy normal tickets for the Shinkansen train. Hope this clears that up.

Gotemba and Fuji can be visited on the way to Osaka. A nice place to stay could be either Hakone or around Gotemba.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi again!

From Tokyo - Kyoto by normal train is 8 hours or so. Definitely not recommended with a 140-160min bullet train route.

2.) The JR Pass also covers this.

3.) You can use the Monorail to Hamamatsucho and from there use the Yamanote line to Shibuya.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
