I will be traveling in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto). I heard there is a JR bus in Kyoto. Will my JR Pass work with this bus? Also, do you have any information on the bus route/time?

Also, will my JR Pass work with the JR San-in line (Sagano Line) in Kyoto?

Hi there,

Most city buses in Kyoto are operated by other companies but most will only cost 100Yen for a ride.
The JR Bus you are referring to may be this one and is covered by the JRPass and is served every 20minutes during normal days.

Also the JR San-in line is fully covered by the JR-Pass so if you wish you can ride it all the way to Shimonoseki :)

Hope this helps!
