Dear all,

Just wanted to check if the JR pass is right for my itinerary:

March 30 : arrive at HND
March 31 to April 6 in Tokyo and day trips near Tokyo - total of 7 days
April 7: Tokyo to Kyoto
April 7 to April 10: Kyoto - total of 4 days
April 10: Kyoto to HND at night
April 11: depart from HND early morning

I would activate it for the last 7 days, so I could use it for the train to Kyoto

Is it worth it? Thanks so much!

Hi,
The round trip leaves you a little short, but you can easily make up the difference.
Honestly, 7 days in Tokyo is more than plenty, and you can use your pass to see some great
day trips like Nikko, Karuizawa, Kamakura, Izu, Kusatsu, and so on.

Kyoto is worth several days, but don't skip Nara either. In Nara, the Todaiji Great Buddha is an extraordinary place, as well as many other historic temples, shrines and gardens in the area.

Good luck.
