Hi there, I'm afraid you must bring your printed JR Pass documentation with you in order to activate your Japan rail pass in Japan. If you are unable to ask a friend or relative to send your jrpasses onto you in Japan, one possible solution is to reorder, choosing your address in Japan as your delivery destination.
