Activating multiple JR Passes simultaneouslyI understand you have to take the exchange order, passport and application to a JR stationwith a Rail Pass exchange office but does each person getting a pass have to go in person or can one family member do it for everyone? |

Hi there, If you are travelling in a group, you can activate all the Rail Passes at once via one person. Please note that you will need to present the passports of all the travellers so that the JR staff can validate that the visa used to enter Japan is a "temporary visitor" type for each Japan Rail Pass.
