Travel to Ishinomaki

Does the JR pass cover any of the buses between Sendai and Ishinomaki? The route by train which is quite long as I believe the more direct Ishinomaki line was damaged in the earthquake.

Hi there,

Yes you can use your Japan Rail Pass for the bus service between the damaged area.
Current bus service runs between Matsushima Kaigan and Yamoto (Senseki Line). You can take train from Yamoto to Ishinomaki.

Train: Sendai to Matsushima Kaigan
Bus: Matsushima Kaigan to Yamoto
Train: Yamoto to Ishinomaki
