Advice on arrival from TokyoHi 1) Which hotel (area) in Osaka should be stay which is nearest to the JR station so that the next morning we can easily take an airport bus . Our 7 day JR would have expired as we are in Japan 8 days. 2) we want to spend a night in Kyoto and experience Japanese Royken as all our other hotels and big buildings. Do you have any recommendation? (one which is convenient using our JR )Our budget is around 6000 yen per head. Thank you. |

Hi She,
JR does have a direct train to Kansai Airport. It's called the JR Kanku Kishuji Rapid, and departs Osaka 3-4 times an hour with a journey time is just over 1 hour. Here's a timetable for you to check. Cost of this is ¥1,160 per person. If your flight departs at 4:50pm, you'll want to get the 13:36 at the latest to be there in good time.
This will depend on lots of things, but to get an idea, you can check this search for hotels near Osaka station. I think there will be lots of variety here.
Hmm this is a very tough question! Ryokan in Kyoto are some of the most pricey in Japan (the sky's the limit...), and I think being near the station makes it harder! That said, here is a search for inns/ryokans. They should be within your price range and within 1 mile of Kyoto Station. Hope this helps! |
