Hi,
Below is my itinerary in Japan but I am not sure what is the most economic way to plan my traffic, would appreciate someone can advise me on if:-
Day 1 reach Tokyo around 4pm then will straightaway go to Nagano
Day 2 travel to Yudanaka
Day 3 Kanazawa
Day 4 still in Kanazawa but will side track to shiragawago
Day 5 to day 9 in Tokyo.

Your help will be much appreciated. Because I am kinda confuse with some of the passes and winter special pass.

Thanks

Hi there,

I think the best option would be to use a 7 day JR Pass for day 1 - 7, this will cover all your expansive travel and you'll also be able to use it for 2 additional days in Tokyo.

There's no other pass that covers the route you plan to travel. Also, while the JR will give you good savings compared to purchasing normal tickets. It does not include all your travel, travel from Nagano - Yudanaka and the bus to Shirakawa-go, are not covered by the JR Pass.

Hope this helps you,
Daniel
