Hi there,

I recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for travel to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the most expensive routes and it's here that the JR Pass can give you the best possible savings.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thank you For your recommendation, Actually we only will used the rail on one way because we are travel Osaka to Okinawa and Okinawa to Tokyo by air (Japan airlines) with this in mind do you think the JR PASS is the best options for us? Can we use The JR PASS in the cities locally when we go to parks, museums and tourist attractions and places? Local trains and buses?

I will need 10 passes, Do you know if there any group buy packages with lower rates?

Thank you!!

Hi again,

In that case, I think the best way would be to purchase normal tickets. The JR Pass can be used on local JR lines but local travel generally does not cost a lot to longer distance travel.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
