Hi,
Just having trouble working out what parts of my trip are covered by the JR pass and what parts aren't.

If I went from Tokyo - Hakone - Lake Kawaguchiko - Takayama is that all covered by the JR pass?

Thanks,
Yiscah

Hi there,

The JR Pass covers by far the greater part of your itinerary when looking at cost/distance. However you will still need additional tickets for travel within the Hakone area and to Kawaguchiko. Travel to Kawaguchiko between Otsuki - Kawaguchiko is travelled on the Fujikyu line (~1,150yen).

For details see this post:

Hope this is helpful for you,
Daniel
