Hello everybody.
I want to travel to japan next month and I would like to buy a 7 day pass for my travel to japan as we only stay for 10 nights. My plan is as following:
I fly from my country to Osaka Kansai airport
Osaka (day 1-2-3)
Kyoto (day 3-4-5)
Yokohama (5-6)
Tokyo (6-7-8-9-10)
Stay near narita airport for flight (10-11)

What is the best 'period' to use the pass?
According to hyperdia the costs for Kyoto to tokyo (or Yokohama) are going to be in the 100'ish, so I definitely use it then. But... I don't know on which days I can better use a suica or just buy separate tickets.
Thank you in advance,
Feline.

Hi Feline,

Looking at your itinerary I must say that it would be more economic to buy normal tickets than a 7 day JR Pass. A JR Pass would have been perfect if you returned from Tokyo to Osaka but it is simply cheaper to buy normal tickets for a one way Osaka - Tokyo (Kyoto and Yokohama are direct stops on the way).

For your local travel in Tokyo, Kyoto, Yokopoko and Osaka. Using an IC card like Suica is recommended to make travel a lot easier.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
