Hi! My group will be arriving in Kansai Airport and will go around Osaka-Kyoto-Nara for about 5 days then we'll travel to Tokyo via train and stay there for 4 days. Our flight going back home is at Narita Airport. Is there a one way ticket that we can purchase for this? Is it a bullet train too? We'd love to experience riding the shinkansen. Many thanks!

Hi there,

I would recommend buying normal tickets for this route, as the cost of normal tickets will be below the cost of a JR Pass. This would have been a different story if you would have made a return from Osaka to Tokyo.

You can simply buy a bullet train tickets directly from Kyoto to Tokyo at the station.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you for your response, Daniel!

Are the normal trains that you've mentioned also bullet trains? By normal tickets you mean like searching at hyperdia would be a great help?

Yes, I did mean bullet trains.

You'll find the right prices in Hyperdia, so that can be a good help!
