Hi,

1) For JR Pass Holders, you have to show your pass to the JR staff located at the gate to the platform. If for example, I will be traveling from Shinjuku (JR) to Asakusa, what will be the procedure and how much will I pay?

I will show my pass at the Shinjuku station to be able to use the JR Chuo line going to Kanda (Tokyo) station. From Tokyo Station, I will ride a non-JR line going to Asakusa. Do I need to exit and purchase a ticket for this?

Regards,

Hello there,

If you travel from one company to the other, you'll have go trough a ticket gate from one company to the other. Generally you buy a ticket for this part of the journey before boarding the train. The fare depends on the distance that you'll travel from Tokyo - Asakusa is this 190yen if I remember correctly.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
