Hello! I need to travel from Tokyo Shinjunku station to Matsumoto on the morning of Tuesday May 17, 2016. Can you tell me how often the Azusa & Super Azusa trains travel in that direction? Also, will this be covered with my JR Pass? Do I need to reserve a seat?

Thanks very much!

Hello Alison,

Yes both these trains are covered by the JR Pass.

While not necessary I do recommend making a seat reservation in advance.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
