Hi, I would like to know if it is possible...i would like to start morning from tokyo and head to Kamakura for short trip and move to Mt. Fuji and its five lakes and finally transfer to kyoto on same day. Please let me know how should I approach this.
Tokyo to kyoto
Hi there,
Going from Fuji Five Lakes to Kyoto is quite a long route and I would not recommend visiting the Fuji Five Lakes area on the same day that you head to Kyoto. Instead you could look at a visit to Hakone. Because it is directly on the Shinkansen route from Tokyo - Kyoto.
Hi, Thanks for your quick response. I don't want to go around all the lakes but the main one Kawaguchiko only and come back to Mishima stn and head to Kyoto.
i am staying near Iriya station of Hibiya line of Tokyo metro. I have planned like this :
Iriya stn > Kamakura: Metro: H18 to H17, H17, JR: Ueno to Tokyo, JR Ln Yokosuka from Tokyo to Kamakura
Kamakura > Mt Fuji: JR: Kamakura to Ofuna > Ofuna to Kozu (Kanagawa) > Kozu to Gotemba, Gotemba to Kawaguchiko stn (seems quite complicated)
Mt Fuji to Kyoto: Kawaguchiko stn to JR Mishima Stn by Bus / Taxi, JR: Mishima to Kyoto Stn by Shinkansen
Thanks
