Hello,
I am planning my trip to Japan and am a bit perplexed with the Tokyo to Kawaguchigo transportation.
Most of the information I read stated that the JR Pass can be used to Otsuki station and then we'd have to purchase a ticket for the Fujikyu Railway to reach Kawaguchigo. This seems to be the only way to get to Kawaguchigo stated by most resources.
When I checked Hyperdia, there seems to be an alternative. This is to leave Tokyo via JR Chuo/Chuo Line Rapid Service which reaches Tachikawa station. Then, switch to Ltd. Exp Narita Express and that will go straight to Kawaguchigo. Is this route common? Has anyone ever try it? Also, this route would be covered by JR Rail Pass all the way, right?
