Hi,

I am going to Japan on the 12th of November and I am planning to go to Tokyo (4nights) then Hakone (1nights), then just visit Matsumoto, then Takayama (1night) then kanazawa (1night) then Kyoto (4nights) then Hiroshima (2nights), then back to Tokyo for the remaining 3 nights

I think the JR pass should cover all these destinations however, could you please confirm? Also if you could confirm the time it takes between each two destination? As for some of them I am staying just one day, I would like to see if it's feasible. Also, I would want to take late train to go to all the destinations, how late do the trains run?

Is there any website where I can see the hours of these trains?

I would greatly appreciate all the help you can give,

Kind regards

Hello there,

To start with your last question first. For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.

The JR Pass covers all these places, for Hakone, use the station called Odawara. This is the bullet train station for Hakone. All the routes you plan to travel are certainly feasible, though Hiroshima - Tokyo is a long ride (about 6h) to do in one go.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
