Hi

I will be going to Japan from 1 Apr to 12 Apr (12D11N)

I will be arriving at Narita Airport in Tokyo, but will be travelling straight to Osaka.

Using the JR Pass Hikari train would be the fastest way to get to Osaka, am I right?

I will be spending 4 nights in Osaka (Kyoto will be a day trip), before travelling back to Tokyo for the rest of my trip.

Not too sure if I should get the 7 day pass or 14 day pass?

Since getting around Tokyo by the normal metro would not require JR Pass right?

Is there another pass for the normal metro? Or it would be better to pay per trip?

Would appreciate your help please.

Thank you very much !

How about going to the airport from my hotel in Tokyo when I am returning to Singapore?

Is there a straight shuttle bus to airport?

I will be staying at Centurion Grand Hotel Akasaka.

I came across Airport Limousine... but it only has a few stops. Not sure which is nearer to my hotel?

Please advise.

List of the bus stops for Airport Limousine :
- Hotel Okura - ANA InterContinental Tokyo - The Capitol Hotel Tokyu - Hotel New Otani - Akasaka Excel Hotel Tokyu ( think this is the nearest ? ) - Andaz Tokyo

Hi there,

A 7 day JR Pass would be the best option if you can make cover Narita Airport - Osaka and Osaka - Tokyo within 7 days.
The Hikari express is indeed the fastest way with the JR Pass to Osaka.

The JR Pass also covers the local JR network in Tokyo, which is very extensive and will get you to most places within Tokyo.

You may also purchase Tokyo metro passes, which offer great value since you stay in Asakusa (which does not have a JR station). See this website for all the details.

You could use the Airport Limousine back to Narita Airport. An alternative is to use the Metro/Keisei line. Which looks like this.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
