Hi! I am going to Japan on 4th November. I was wondering if getting a JR pass would be wiser for my itinerary below.

4th to 8th - Tokyo
8th to 10th - Disneysea
10th to 14th - Kyoto & Nara
14th to 16th - Osaka
16th to 18th - Tokyo

Please advise! Thank you :)

Hi there,

Yes, I do think that a 7 day JR Pass would compliment your itinerary well.

The 7 day JR Pass costs about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen. Now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price. So my advice would be to buy normal train tickets locally in Tokyo and use a JR Pass from the 10th - 16th.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
