Hello, just wondering if I will be saving any money getting the JRP with my current plans.

Day 1 to Day 3 :Travel within Osaka
Day 4 : Osaka to Kyoto
Day 5 : Travel within Kyoto
Day 6: Kyoto to Hakone
Day 7: Travel within Hakone
Day 8: Hakone to Kanagawa
Day 9: Kanagawa to Tokyo
Day 10-12 spent in Tokyo visiting Tsukiji Akihabara and Shibuya
Day 13: Back to Osaka for flight.

Is it worth it to get a JRP? If Its cheaper otherwise what should I look to be getting?

Thank you.

Hi Jeremy,

Yes, a 7 day JR Pass can be very helpful here. The 7 day JR Pass is about the same price as a normal return Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka. From there any additional travel is basically what you save. In the itinerary above, I would recommend using a 7 day JR Pass from day 7 - 13, this would allow you to get the best out of the pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
