The JR site maps is a tad confusing is there a way I could navigate by using address?
I have already purchased the JR pass, and was wondering what are the best way to maximize the use of it...Because after browsing around it appear that during my stay at Kyoto/Osaka i probably will have to purchase separately train passes....

Jan 27 - Jan 31 in Tokyo (Will be staying near Musashikoganei station)
Planning on visiting Shinjuku, Ueno (Ameya yokocho)

Jan 31 - Feb 1 in Kyoto (Will be staying at Ryokan Ryokufuso - 490 Kanaya-cho, nishinotoin Rokujyoagaru)
I understand I could take Shinkansen down to Kyoto, where would be the closest station from Musashikoganei station that I can take Shinkansen from?

Feb 1 - Feb 3 in Osaka (will be staying at Dormy Inn Premium Namba 2-14-23 Shimanouchi, Chou-ku)
Will need transportation from the hotel to Kansai Airport. Is JR pass usable?

Also want to visit And also Nara - Todaiji, Nara Park / Higashihongan-ji Temple and Higashimuki Shopping Street
if possible..but not sure how it will fit in.

Hello there,

The Japanese address system is really complicated so we could not include it in the JR Map. However it's easy to just look by place name or station name.

The Shinkansen station for Kyoto is simply Kyoto station. You could either take the Shinkansen from Tokyo or Shinagawa station, there difference in travel time is small.

Yes you can use the JR Pass to travel to Kansai Airport, take the train from JR-Namba to Shin-Imamiya and from there the JR rapid airport express to Kansai Airport.

It is easy to make a day trip from either Kyoto or Osaka to Nara. Eitherway works :) It's within 1h of travel.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you so much!
And to Kuoromon Market, Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori is there any close station?

Shinsaibashi Station is not JR...correct?

Hi again!

Shinsai bashi is indeed a subway stop. My advise would be to take the JR to JR-Namba and walk from there (you'll find some very interesting stuff on the way as well).

The JR Pass is counted in calender days and would expire at the end of the 2nd if activated on the 27th (count full days).

Hope this clears things up :)
Daniel
