Purchase of Japan Rail Pass

Hello

Me and my husband plan to visit Japan from April 25th to May 7 and we will buy a 7 day JR Pass . We will meet our son, who is in Tsukuba for "cultural activities", according to the status stated in the certificate of elegility and Japan Visa he holds with him.
Since he will travel with us during that period, can I also buy a 7 day JR pass for him, or that is not possible since he is in Japan?

Hello there!

I'm afraid the Japan Rail Pass is only available to holders of the "Temporary Visitor" visa status. This will mean that your son will unfortunately not be eligible for the Japan Rail Pass. You can find our more on the visa requirements for the Japan Rail Pass here.
