Hi, I am Peter. I will be flying to Osaka Kansai Airport then coming back from Tokyo Haneda Airport (10 days). I am planning to visit Osaka then Kyoto then Nagoya, Hakone, Yokohama and finally Tokyo. Should I get a rail pass? Which one more worthy?

Hello Peter,

What you are doing is basically traveling one way from the Kansai Area to Tokyo, Nagoya, Hakone and Yokohama are all direct stops on this route. In terms of distance, this is not that much and it would be more economic to just buy normal tickets, instead of a travel pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thanks for your helpful comment, Daniel. Just wonder should i prebook my normal tickets? My travelling date will be from 2nd May 2016 till 12th May 2016.

Hi there,

No need, trains rarely sell out. If you want to be sure of seating, buy a train ticket 2-3 days in advance once you are in Japan.
