Hello!
I'm going to take the JR train from Osaka to Kyoto, and I need to know which side of the train (left or right) gets the view for the Mt. Fuji.
Thanks, Julia

Hi Julia,

I assume that you mean Osaka - Tokyo? As you can't see Fuji when you travel between Osaka and Kyoto.

For the best view, ask for a D or E seat, which is on the left side when you are coming from Osaka or Kyoto.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hey Julia,

Fuji is a bit more to the north than Kyoto and Osaka. If you wish to view Fuji, consider a visit to Shizuoka. It's easy to reach from Kyoto and completely free with the JR Pass.

Enjoy Japan!
Daniel
