Its hard to say for sure without knowing your full itinerary. I recommend writing out the route you wish to travel, from there you can see if a JR Pass matches that.

Once you have a tentative route, you can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.

Hi Daniel,

Here is my Itinerary for 14 days,. I was thinking to travel to Mount Fuji from Kyoto, do you think it would be possible? No staying over. Do you have any suggestions that I can only purchase 7 days instead of 14 days JR Pass?

Day 1 – Tokyo Haneda  Kyoto
Day 2 – Kyoto - JR Nara Station
Day 3 – Kyoto
Day 4 - Osaka
Day 5 - Osaka
Day 6 - Kyoto
Day 7 – Kyoto - Tokyo
Day 8 – Tokyo
Day 9 – Tokyo- Hakone
Day 10 - Tokyo
Day 11 - Tokyo
Day 12 - Tokyo
Day 13 - Tokyo
Day 14 – Tokyo - Haneda

Hi Joreen,

Its possible but I would recommend visiting the Hakone region, instead of something like Kawaguchiko or Kofu. Hakone is directly on the Shinkansen route to Kyoto. You can access Hakone from Odawara station. I do see that you already have Hakone planned in later. An other nice place to view Fuji from is from around Shizuoka. There are a couple of beautiful spots around that area.
