Hi
Hi,
We are family of 5 (parents and 3 sons) interested to go to tateyama kurobe, to enjoy the autumn. Since we only travel for 5 days around tokyo and hitachi seaside park (ibaraki), so buying jr east pass+discounted ticket to tateyama kurobe alpine route (22000¥ + 9000 ¥ + 5000¥ additional fee between joetsu myoko-toyama) is still too much for Us.
Does jr kanto area pass cover hokuriku shinkansen to nagano or as fat as joetsu myoko? If it does...is it better buying jr kanto pass then travel from tokyo and pay ekstra for nagano/joetsu myoko to toyama and buy normal ticket of alpine route (12.500¥) start at toyama dentetsu , finish at nagano and back to tokyo for free with kanto area pass?
Please corect me if you have better and cheaper way.
To travel by hokuriku shinkansen with jr kanto area pass from tokyo to toyama, do i have to stop at nagano/joetsu myoko and continue to toyama with new payable ticket OR.... we can reserve in advance from tokyo direct to toyama with extra charge between nagano/joetsu myoko to toyama without changing train?
One more thing...with jr kanto area pass does it mean we are free to travel tokyo monorai from/to haneda and other jr line inside tokyo such as yamanote line and rinkai?
Please forgive my 'thousands' questions. I hope you dont mind.
Thanks alot
Nurul
