Narita to Tokyo to Osaka and Back

Hey

I'm traveling to Tokyo on March 19th from the states. I'm wondering what's the best rail pass solutin? I am in Tokyo March 19-22 and then traveling to Osaka on 23 and coming back on the 24th. My main concern is getting to/from airport and then getting around without having too many passes. Also I think I'm past the deadline to get the JR pass in the mail. I know there is an option to get it sent to the hotel in staying at but then how do I get it in order to use to get from the airport. Let me know. Thanks

Hello there,

It depends a little of where you live but we may still be able to deliver in time. Send us your address within the next couple of hours via support@jrpass.com and we can check before our daily dispatch.

A 7 day JR Pass could be recommend for the trip Tokyo - Osaka - Tokyo, additionally the JR Pass can also be used for travel from the Airport.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Daniel-

Thanks for the reply. Two questions

  1. What if it doesn't make it in time? What are my options
  2. If I get the rail pass can I get around the local subways with the JR Pass?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi again!

1.) Then we could either ship it to Japan, or you could buy normal train tickets.

2.) The Pass is valid on all JR lines nationwide, including local lines. The Metro and other transport is not covered.

We have a collection of resources you can use here:
