questions & answers: using the japan rail pass

narita airport to tokyo hotel

narita airport to tokyo hotel

hello,
it's my first time japan -
i will be arriving on a Monday 7:15pm at Terminal 1 at Narita Airport.
No checked bags and will buy a 7 Day JR pass.

What time will the ticket station be open until? And where can i find the most up to date train schedule from Narita to Tokyo? (does the train schedule change?)

Also, how should I reserve a seat on the Narita express to Tokyo? Can I do this at the ticket booth at the same time as JR pass exchange?

thank you!

As you showed your itinerary in another post, the 7 day JR Pass would not be cost effective for your plans.

Since you won't be using a pass, you could try to make it cheaper through other means. One is instead of the normally pricey Narita Express, you could use a Keisei/Metro package.

For Kyoto, you could get a 500 yen bus day pass.
To get to Kansai Int'l cheaply, there is also a 1000 yen bus.

Hello Jepen

Here is a link for JR office. I am afraid the office seems open till 19:00. But check the information on the official site.

You can reserve your seat at the exchange office.

If Airport Limousine Bus goes to your hotel, it would be worth considering using it. Normally non-stop or a few stop from Airport to your hotel.

Another information shows office is open till 20:00or 21:45. (bit confusing)

Train schedule is shown in the office and probably staff can help you which is the best one to take.
