Dear All,

As this is my first trip in Japan and i plan to buy the 7 days rail pass. The above is my planned itinerary, I understand that Travelling to and fro Shirakawago will be via the local buses. Could you advise me does the Japan Rail pass covers all the above region or should I use another pass instead ?

Thank you for your guidance and looking forward to hearing from you.

With Regards,
Wenbin

Hi Wenbin,

The JR Pass covers all of the above travel, except for the bus to and from Shirakawago. You would be able to make very good savings if you made the trip within 7 days.

Let me know if you have any question!

Dear All,

Had purchased the Japan Rail Pass, I understand that I'm able to use the pass to take certain bus when I'm traveling.

As there is mixed answer online, does anyone have any idea if the pass could be used to take bus in ::

  • Takayama

  • Kanazawa

  • Kyoto to visit Kiyomizu-Dera

Thank you for your time.

Wenbin
