Is it possible to take a train directly from Nara to Hakone?
How long would this be?

Also, are there lockers in the Nara trail station to leave some belongings while touring during the day?
Thank you.

Hi There!

There is no direct train from Nara to Kyoto but the whole route is covered by the JR Pass. The travel time is around 190 minutes and involves one transfer at Kyoto station.

Nara station, like any other JR Station has coin lockers available which you can use to store your belongings, there are different sizes and you could even fit in your suitcase if you wish.

To get from Nara to Hakone, take the train to Kyoto station and transfer here to the Shinkansen. The Shinkansen station for Hakone is Odawara, so tell the JR staff that you wish travel here when you reserve your tickets.

Have a great time in Japan!
