Hi,

I'm going to Japan for 2 weeks and wondering if it is worth getting the JR west pass for week 1 and JR pass for the second week.

Week 1:
Chubu centrair - Nagoya
Nagoya - Kobe
Kobe - Osaka - Kobe
Kobe - Nagoya

Week 2:
Nagoya - Chubu centrair - Nagoya
Nagoya - Osaka
Day trips from Osaka to Arashiyama and Nara
Osaka - Shirakawa-go
Shirakawa-go - Nagoya
Nagoya - Chubu centrair

Thanks in advance!

Hey There,

The JR West pass does not cover travel from Nagoya - Kobe and therefor would not be of much use for you in the first week.

I also advise buying normal tickets in week too, as normal tickets will be below the cost of the JR Pass. Here you could look at a Hokuriku area Pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
