Hello, I am arriving at Narita, Tokyo on 23 March 2017, then spending 3 days in Tokyo sightseeing. On 25 March, train to Toyohashi. On 26th March, train to Hiroshima. On 28 March train to Kyoto. On 31 March train to Kobe. On 1st April train to Osaka. On 2nd April return to Haneda Tokyo to depart 3rd April.
My question is whether it would be better to get a 7 day JRP or 14 day JRP?
I think I can use the JRP from the airports to Tokyo, but for the 3 days in Tokyo, will I need to get a daily Tokyo metro pass?
Thank you

Hi there,

The period March 25th - April 1st would be considered 8 days of using the JR Pass, the first day is counted as a full day. With this is mind, I would recommend looking at a 14 day JR Pass. Alternatively, you could try to return to Tokyo on March the 31st and using a 7 day JR Pass.

The JR Pass covers the urban JR network in Tokyo, this is quite expensive and you can see most major stations. However there are a few areas in Tokyo that are not served by JR, think of Asakusa and Odaiba.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
