Dear Duty Officer,

We are a family of 04. We will arrive in Kansai Airport on 29Jan 2014 ETA 0650am. We would like to travel to Kyoto (1nite), Kyoto to Takayama (1nite). Takayama - shirakawago- Kanazawa(1 nite). Kanazawa to Osaka (2nite), Shin Osaka to Kansai airport on 03Feb 2013. Our flight will depart at 1100am.

Please advice for the above route, how many train or bullet train we could use for a 07 days JR rail pass.

We r from Malaysia..Where can we bought the rail pass.

Dear Mrs Goh,

All rail travel your above itinerary is covered by the JR Pass (including the bullet trains), the JR Pass allows for unlimited rides during the whole period of it's validity, so you don't have to worry about extra costs.

Do note that Shirakawago is reached by bus from either Takayama or Kanazawa. so you will have to pay the bus fare for this part. The rest of the route is all covered.

You can buy the pass online here or at one of the local re-sellers.
