Hi there,

You will be doing a good amount of travel on travel day from day 1 - day 7. The 7 day JR Pass would work best here, as it covers 7 days of unlimited travel. While the JR East Pass can only be used on 5 selected days of travel.

Very interesting trip btw, we do not see many visitors exploring Honshu.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi daniel,
Thanks for yr. timely reply.

The JR pass is free to ride the following:
1. JR bus to and from Aomori and 雲井の滝;
2. the train to and from 八戶 Kuji久慈;
3. the train 三陸鐵道
am i right?

Also, is it covers all the JR east stops?

Thanks

Hi there,

1.) Yes
2.) Yes, assuming you would use JR lines.
3.) Sanriku Railway is not included in the JR Pass.

All JR East lines are included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
