Hi Daniel-san,
This is my revised itinerary for April 2017.Is it worth to get a 14 day Japan rail pass or the 7 days JR pass + JR East Nagano pass? What other day passes should I buy for local transportation in Kyoto since many of the sightseeing spots are with Keihan Line well. Can you recommend alternative regional passes instead of the 14 day JR pass if possible. 3/4 Arrived Narita Airport
4/4 Tokyo city
5/4 Kyoto
6/4 Kyoto
7/4 Kyoto-Osaka
8/4 Kyoto -Himeji- Kobe
9/4 Kyoto-Kanazawa
10/4 Kanazawa
11/ 4 kanazawa -Shirakawago-Takayama
12/4 Takayama-Toyama- Nagano
13/4 Nagano- yamacouchi
14/4 Nagano-Haneda Airport Tokyo

Hello there,

I would definitely use a 14 day JR Pass here. There is simply no good alternative for travel from Tokyo - Kyoto, to Hiroshima, Kanazawa and back to Tokyo.

Within Kyoto I would use a 500yen day bus pass, you can use it to explore the city. Renting a bicycle can also be a great option to explore Kyoto.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
