issue to search the route

When I search the hyperdia web site for route, it often returns no route.

Do I have to define time? I really only need to define the date, and I don't know the departure time. It seems that I can't leave departure time empty. Any suggestion? I suspect that is why I always get no result.

Thanks a lot.

Hi there,

Can you tell me the route, station names especially, what you are looking for?

Its impossible to say what goes wrong now.

I was searching from Toyko Disneyland station (could be anywhere in Toyko) to Sapporo subway (could be anywhere in Sapporo), on July 20, 2016. The route is expected to be covered by JRpass.

Many thanks.

Okay, now I understand what the problem is.

Disneyland and any subway station you might look for are NON-JR stations. Please leave the [Private Railway] option on for these stations.

For the JR, you'll want to search for Maihama (station for Disneyland) to Sapporo (JR) station.

Many thanks, Daniel.

Using JR pass, Is there any night train to take from Tokyo to Sapporo, and from Sapporo to Osaka? If yes, what are the JR station names in those three cities which run the night train?

I am thinking to save time on travel by taking train in evening.

Thanks again.

Hi again.

I am afraid the time of night trains in Japan is long gone because of a great decline in passengers. The Shinkansen now fulfill the role for long distance travel.

The only way that is faster than rail to Hokkaido is to fly.

Shinkansen is the high speed train. Is it covered by JRpass? If yes, does Shinkansen has night schedule for long distance, such as from Sapporo to Tokyo?

Thanks for being so patient to answer my questions.

Hi again,

Yes, all shinkansen lines are covered by the JR Pass.

There are however no night services (mostly between 6 am to 24:00).
