Hi there,

Will you just be staying in (and around) Tokyo? In that case I would suggest buying a [N'EX + Suica] package at Narita Airport and use that to travel around Tokyo. This is a very convenient way to travel around the metropolis, without having to buy a ticket every time. At the same time get a nicely discounted ticket to and from the Airport.

Enjoy!
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for reply, if we do a combination of both can i activate my 7 day rail pass a few days into my trip, ie not on day 1 or does it have to be activated at Narita Airport?

This way i could then just use the N'EX + Suica for treturn trip to Narita, does this sound ok?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

That is no problem at all! You can activate your JR Pass at most major stations in Japan, so you don't have to do so at Narita Airport.

So your plan makes good sense!
