Hi there,

You could either stay in the city center of Kyoto, which I personally would recommend because you really get to feel the city, or you could stay near the JR Station, which is great if you wish to make day trips and don't want to carry your luggage around a lot.

Look for a hotel around Shijou - Sanjou or Kawaramachi if you wish to stay in the city centre.

Have a great time in Japan!

Hi Daniel

Thanks a lot!
I think that the city center is better. I will love feel the city.

What part of the city center do you recommend?
Maybe a place close to the metro or somewhere I can try to reach the JR line thought the metro?

Thanks :-)

Hi Again,

Sorry this post must have slipped through!

There's multiple metro entrances throughout the city center so you never have to walk far.

I did a search for you with hotels in the area.. These are all pretty good judging from a quick look. You can also consider a hostel if you wish, I always have had good experiences with hostels in Japan a popular one in Kyoto is Khaosan but there are many great hostels out there.

I hope this helps!
Daniel
