Hello,

We are travelling to Japan next month. Arriving at Haneda Airport on the september 12th at 10.00 am.
We would like to travel to Kyoto straight away, but we are not sure if we can exchange our JRpass in the airport. Which is the best way to get kyoto?
Thence Where can we check the train timetable to Kyoto, and how long does it take?

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

You can exchange the JR Pass directly @Haneda Airport. Just follow the signs with monorail and you will find the JR travel office. Here you can exchange the JR Pass and get your tickets at the same time.

From Haneda, take the Monorail to Hamamatsucho station, the last stop. Here transfer to the Yamanote line to Tokyo station (it's a 6min ride). At Tokyo you can get on the bullet train directly to Kyoto. The ride takes about 160 minutes.

You can check train tables using Hyperdia.com.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
