Hi there,
I am planning to travel from in October 2015;
Tokyo-Kyoto
Kyoto- Hiroshima
Hiroshima-Kyoto
Kyoto-Tokyo

As these trips are all a couple hours, do you advise to buy a Green Class pass for comfort?
What are the differences between Green Class and Economy Class? other than the comfort of the seats and space.

Are Green Class seats likely to book out?
Can I book seats online?

Thanks in advance!
Natalie

Hello Natalie,

Simply said, the reason to travel Green Class is quiet. There are a lot less people traveling Green Class. Given the amount of travel you plan to do, this is could certainly be nice. In general, there are plenty of Green Seats available and rarely sold out.

Though between Hiroshima - Kyoto there are less than between Kyoto and Tokyo. So I do recommend getting your seats reserved a bit in advance for this part.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
