Upon arrival at Narita I will use my 14 day JR Rail pass on the NEX to Ikebukuro Station. From there what would be the easiest way to get to the Hotel Mets Komagome with luggage? I am a senior traveling with my adult daughter. We will each have I large rolling suitcase and 1 small carry on. I don't know if trying to catch a taxi for the 6 mile ride would be more inconvenient than just braving the Yamanote line with luggage for a 6 minute ride to the Hotel Mets Komagome which is directly on the Komagome Station 2 stops away. Please let me know which would be best or if there are other options. Thank you.
Gap transportation
Hi there,
I would go with the Narita Express to Tokyo station and from there take the Yamanote line to Komagome station. There is elevator access to the platforms so it should not be too much of an operation.
The hotels is very close to the hotel and strolling the last part should be less than 5 minutes. The taxi is an alternative from Tokyo station but I feel this would not be worth the cost.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Thank you for your reply. I had thought Ikebukuro would be better since it was closer, but the elevator access at Tokyo is more important to me. I will surely take your advice. Thank you very much for the quick reply.
Hi again!
Ikebukuro works as well, however not every Narita Express makes a stop there (only one every 2 hours if I remember correctly) while nearly all stop at Tokyo station.
