Hi there, In order to upgrade to the green car for the Tokyo-Kyoto shinkansen you would need to pay the green seat charge of ¥9880. The JR Pass would cover the basic line fare of ¥7980. Please note that only 1 Hikari bullet per hour (operated by JR-Central) has a green car. The other Hikari service is operated by JR-West and does not have a green car. Hope this helps! |
