(I'll start my use of the pass from Matsumoto on 14 October, and from your website it appears I can't pick it up there.) |

Hi Helen, Yes you're correct that you will not be able to activate your rail pass in Matsumoto. You can exchange your JR Pass anytime up to 3 months from the date of purchase. At the time when you exchange, you can specify a starting date for your validity period up to 1 month into the future. For example, if you were to exchange on the 8th of October, you can specifying a starting date for your rail pass validity any date up to the 8th of November. Hope this helps! |
