Hi

I am landing in Nagoya & then using the JR train ( bullet train ) to Osaka will stay in Osaka for 4 days.
2 days for Osaka
3rd day visit Kyoto & back to Osaka
4th day visit Nara & back to Osaka
After that I will travel to Tokyo from Osaka using the Bullet train & will stay there for 5 days And depart from narita Airport

Do I need the 7 days JR pass ? Or normal passes will be fine

Hi there,

If you add all the travel costs between the above cities together, the total is less than the price of a 7 day JR Pass and therefor I would stick with normal tickets for this itinerary.

A JR Pass would be useful if you landed in Tokyo instead of Nagoya and made the same trip.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
