Hi there,

A 7 JR Pass could be useful if you can make the return to Tokyo within its validity period. Or at least cover the route from Hakone - Kyoto ... back to Tokyo.

This however would require a bit of replanning on your part. If you prefer the itinerary as it is, then my advise would be to buy normal tickets.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Would you recommend staying in Kanazawa (Day 7 )and having a day trip to Takayama or the other way around , both places look amazing, or do you think our itinerary is too rushed.
thanks Alison

Hi Alison,

Kanazawa offers a larger variety of things to see and do. So my recommendation would be to stay there and visit Takayama if you wish as a day trip.

Looks good btw!

Hope this helps,
Daniel
