Hi dear,

I'm planning to stay in Japan for 10 days. During which, I will travel to the middle area of Japan from Tokyo.

Here is my scheudle:

Day 1: Narita Airport-->Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo-->Kanazawa(BY JR)
Day 3: Whole day Kanazawa
Day 4: Kanazawa-->Shirakawa(BY BUS)
Day 5: Shirakawa-->Takayama(BY BUS)
Day 6 :Whole day Takayama
Day 7: Takayama-->Nagoya(BY JR)
Day 8: Nagoya-->Tokyo(BY JR)
Day 9: Whole day Tokyo
Day 10: Tokyo-->Narita Airport

Is it worth for me to use the 7 days Pass on Day 2, Day 7 & Day 8? Or any other suggestion?

Thank you very much
Carole

Hi Carole,

I think a 7 day JR Pass will work best if you use it from Day 2 - Day 8. Travel between these cities costs the most by far and here is where a JR Pass really shines. Note that the bus to Shirakawago is not included in the JR Pass but you will make good savings compared to purchasing normal rail tickets.

As for travel between Narita Airport and Tokyo, consider buying a NEX discounted return ticket.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
