Hello
I have planned my itinerary which sees me travelling across 8 days. Looking at hyperdia, it’s cheaper for me to buy tickets as I go rather than purchase a pass. Are there any other benefits to buying JR pass if it doesn’t work out cheaper? Thank you

Hello there,
Outside of cost savings, a JR Pass can be considered for its convenience factor. You just buy one ticket (the JR Pass) and you can travel anywhere in Japan. No need to buy any other tickets, find the correct fare, queue up, etc :)
Hope this helps,
Daniel
