We will arrive at Haneda Airport in the late evening at 22.45. I assume the desk will be closed by then to validate our passes. Where will we have to go to validate the next day? And will the voucher be enough to travel to Tokyo or do we have to pay for the train ride anyway?

Hi,
The office in Haneda closes at 6:30 PM. In Tokyo you can get the voucher exchanged for the Pass at the offices in the Shinjuku Information Center (New South Gate; open at 8 AM), Shibuya Information Center South (open 10 AM), Ikebukuro Information Center Central Passage (open 9:30 AM), Shinagawa Information Center (Central Ticket Gate) as well as the JR-CENTRAL Ticket Office (both open at 9 AM), and Ueno Information Center (Central Ticket Gate; open 9 AM).
Needless to say, you cannot ride the train without paying, holding just a voucher.
