Will be flying into narita on sept28. Staying for 6 days total. Planning to go to osaka immediately, stay for 2 days, visit kyoto, then head back to tokyo and stay for the remaining days. Would the 7 day pass be worth it?

Also, how do i get from narita airport to jr train that goes to osaka?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Yes a 7 day JR Pass would be great for this itinerary. The 7 day JR Pass is roughly the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen. Now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price, which you can use for local travel in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo on the JR Network and from Narita Airport.

Going from Narita to Osaka is pretty straightforward but requires a transfer at Tokyo station. First take the narita express to Tokyo station, there transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet trains) to Osaka the route takes a little over 4 hours.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel!

What do you think are must-see places for our short trip? We have roughly 1 1/2 days in osaka and 3 days in tokyo. Any tips on how to maximize our 7 days JR pass? Thank you.
